What an awful roll out UC Irvine, especially in these times when folks are stressed to the limit. Making so many wait even longer - smh.

So, am I understanding correctly that itās a wave of acceptances and waitlisting on Friday, followed by a trickle of acceptances/waitlisting on subsequent days, meaning that if thereās no information currently in the portal that itās most likely a rejection? I agree with whomever said that itās kinda crappy to make rejected people wait, which leads to some continued and probably fruitless hope that it might be an acceptance. If UCLA can send out everything at once, and so did UCD and UCSC, then I imagine that Irvine can manage to do that. I also agree that this is a particularly crappy year to adopt that approach.

To all those asking if Engineering decisions are out, they are out. A few of my friends got waitlisted for EE and CE as well as for Data Science. Two others got in for Data Science. There were waves of acceptances and waitlists yesterday. They did it by major/department.
If you havenāt heard yet, Iām sorry to break it to you but itās a rejection. People from past years who posted on Saturday didnt check their portal till Saturday. They were admitted on Friday.
Donāt be heartbroken though! You can appeal your decision once you get it.
There were a record number of applicants this year and very few students were admitted out of those applicants. To all who got in, congrats! UCI class of 2024 ?
