Portal’s the same here. So does anyone have any insight into when the remaining acceptances will be released? Has anyone heard who applied for art?
@Loggans like i mentioned earlier, a change in your portal like this does not indicate any sign of when the acceptances are going to be released. everyone will receive their decision by the end of this week so hopefully it’s a positive one but nothing showing up on your portal is not a sign that decisions will be released
my d portal is the same. hopefully we will know soon.
@user32tik2332 yes, she was in one of the last waves (if not the last) and by then the emotion of watching all her friends celebrate and prepare while she heard nothing had taken its toll and she was just drained and uninterested.
We still went to the admitted students day but she had already switched off and found she couldn’t re-ignite her enthusiasm. She had other UC’s emailing her, congratulating her and telling her how welcome she was so it was hard to justify why she would want to attend UCI at that point.
FWIW I “chatted” with an admissions rep earlier today on the admissions web page with the portal link, & she said they were sending batches on a rolling basis – randomly, and not having to do with major or whether or not an applicant was accepted. So there’s still hope or as she said acceptance is still a “possibility.” I think this is the same thing that someone else posted here before but you can take this as corroboration for that comment. I’m done trying to predict or listening to predictions about what portal screens are going to look like or not BEFORE a decision comes out. Friday night was very stressful for my family & we’re now trying to make decisions without visiting or revisiting certain schools, so it would be very helpful to at least know what all of our options are.
I wonder what would happen if they don’t give us a decision by the 31st

Now I have to wait forever on UCI and it is killing me, Does anyone know if the waves will all come out at the same time on the days they actually come out? Or is it just going to be COMPLETELY stressful and random?
It sucks for a lot of us to wait for the decisions to come out… and I’m waiting for not only UCI, also UCR as well… I’m starting to think I’m getting a rejection letter at the end ;-;
Dear UCI,
For future students, please stop using rolling admissions. It is a awful way of notifying students. If you choose to continue the use of rolling admissions, please announce dates & times of when it will be released prior to each decision.
The current system is AWFUL!!!
@ILuvTea I also did not receive a response from UCR. I emailed them and they said they will roll out into April which is crazy. But don’t give up hope for both UCR and UCI. Acceptances, waitlists, and rejections will all come out together!
I completely agree with @user2523 don’t give up hope, keep your passion for these schools even through the long wait, the hard work you have put in isn’t for nothing. Though this waiting system REALLY sucks it will be rewarding in the long run

Sorry to hear you are still waiting to hear from both. I don’t understand why it takes so long unless they are still reviewing in them. We are waiting for UCI still also, but we heard from UCR 3 weeks ago. There’s also UCLA which sends invites for alumni scholarship that admission says is correlated with admission but not a guarantee, then keeps sending more scholarship invites the week before the decision, then after my daughter did all the essays got denied. These schools are very disappointing. I don’t know what the point of that is. They shouldn’t tell people it’s correlated to admission, and definitely don’t keep sending more invitations, yikes. Sorry just venting. I wish we could just know the answer and get on with it.
My portal is back to normal, it says thank you for applying and all that stuff again - no decision.
Man, I really hope I get into UCI… waiting sucks… I got denied from UCSB & UCLA… hoping something positive comes out of UCI ??
I really wish that they released all the denials already. I did not know that any college would roll like this, but it is what it is. I try to hold on to a shimmer of hope but it’s hard when a school makes you wait like this. Thankfully I have other school options but I really would have appreciated it if I could have committed somewhere at this point.
@user2523 @CollegeMomCL2024 @ChaiT3A Damn, makes me question if they really are reviewing applications or not. I do understand that the virus has affected them, but like… the waiting truly sucks but I will try to keep it positive and hopefully we all get in eventually. 
I don’t know if the alumni scholarship correlation is true but I didn’t work on it even though I got the invitation. I applied to UCLA because it was more of a “why not” thing and had to take advantage of the fee waiver. I heard from them and got rejected but I didn’t care since I didn’t plan to go there anyways. I have to agree that the schools are disappointing.

I have been following UCI admissions for 7 years and they have always done rolling admissions and every year, complaints are posted on this website. Nothing has really changed in 7 years and I seriously doubt that UCI will change their decision timeline anytime soon.**
When my older son applied 7 years ago, they still would accept the CHP students early admission at the end of February and do rolling admissions throughout the month of March. Instead of a wave of decisions, they would update the student portals before 9 am every morning so you would be checking every day for almost a month. My son received his decision on March 28th. The end is near so be patient.

it didn’t say, but since my primary was nursing and alternate was biology, I assume I was waitlisted for biology considering I have heard that there is not waitlist for nursing… but idk
