**UCI Class of 2024 Discussion Thread**

so no one got accepted
what the heck they made us stress longer just to hurt us

as much as I am disappointed with UCI, is an appeal worth it?

Just got denied with a 4.1 and 1410 for businessā€¦

denied for nursing. 4.2 gpa. 1300 sat. asb + gov (4 years) lots of ec. rip to the dream. relaly made us wait to get rejected

Just got denied for political science, dang that hurts but at least I have other options, best of luck to everyone else waiting! Bye

to anyone wondering they did send out email a few minutes ago

Business admin major
1290 sat
3.95 weighted but itā€™s low because I took a lot of ap classes. Uci was a reach anyway

Denied: UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UCD, UCI
Waitlist: UCSC and cal poly slo
Waiting: UCB, USC
Accepted:SJSU

Guess Iā€™m going to SJSU

What makes me sad is that Iā€™ve seen many people get into these UCā€™s with lower stats

Denied. 1450 SAT. 3.8 GPA

Headed to UMD, SCU or SLO, most likely

Son got rejected for Mechanical Engineering. Received email and checked portal.

Stats: SAT: 1490 (Math 800, English 690), 4.0 UW GPA, 4.27 UC Capped GPA.

Accepted: SDSU, UCSD
Waitlisted: UC Davis
Rejected: UCLA, UCI, SJSU (Appealing)

@Whiskey6920 at least you have options! I only have SJSU and I should have applied to more schools

dangg so they really pulled a rejection wave??? made us wait that long?

did people who got rejected receive an email? if so what time?

Do you guys think the uc schools care more about gpa that private schools that are the same tier?

Received email at 6:08

yea lmao they need to filter ppl out
got rejected today 3.65 weighted gpa 1310 sat

@cxtmeow: Son received email at 6:02pm and checked portal for update

The UC system is an absolute joke. They are filthy, money hungry colleges. With a 1450, and 4.2 with tons of extracurriculars (leadership), diverse background, amazing personal insights, hard workload, and first generation my daughter has gotten rejected to every UC. They are the only public system that accepts more out of state than instate students!

Weighted gpa: 4.1
Great ecs: president of clubs, many volunteer activities, marching band, had jobs experience.
Essay: I donā€™t think they are bad.
Sat: 1410
11 aps and denied
Canā€™t believe it, I have always wanted to go to uci.

No emails here??

@flurryhear: If you check the Very Important criteria for every UC, you will find academic GPA listed first, then test scores, HS course rigor and then essays.
