I got in for Computer Science and Engineering, and after looking at some of these acceptances/waitlistings/rejections, I’m wondering how I got in over others…
Congrats! At least some CS majors are getting in! Would you mind posting your stats?
Is there anyone else who still hasn’t heard back?
Same scenario for us. We’re assuming that since she got the email at the same time all these rejections were appearing, that it’s not good news. Anyone know how to see any new info in the portal after the email stated there were changes? Is there a trick ?
Honesty I don’t know. I got the email and nothing at this point, I give up.
@orange2024 Great stats! Makes no sense. I am really sorry. Hopefully you go somewhere better for you. Their loss!
@jules0827 If portal change email came in but no change when you go to portal be sure she checked the box below (maybe accept terms and conditions) or something like that I believe … it’s the line right below status. This will lead to decision.
Got the email yesterday, waitlisted for Nursing.
Has anyone not received a decision yet from UCI?
Hello! I was admitted in the first wave of decisions and I just wanted to share my stats and whatnot for anyone still waiting.
Major: Undeclared
GPA: 3.77w and 3.63uw
SAT: 1130
ACT: 30
AP Courses: 7 (two of which were semester courses)
Accepted: UCI, Oberlin, Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, Chapman, University of Oregon, Saint Mary’s College of California,
Waitlist: UW and Santa Clara University
Laughed at: Emory, Hamilton, UCLA, UCSB, UCD, UCSD
Congratulations to those who have also been admitted and I’m sorry for those who haven’t. To those still waiting, fingers crossed good luck! Everything happens for a reason! Remember that your GPA or a test score does NOT define your character!
@ellar34 what are your stats?
Right? Only thing I can think of is CS is a very impacted major and I haven’t had any adversity to overcome. I think I’ve seen one or two others with better stats than me that also got denied.
Yes I agree. It is a completely “saturated” major. Maybe everyone should’ve applied as “undeclared.” Seems like that and some others like psychology we’re sure shots (for most… not all… I know… please nobody yell at me).

Does anybody know an estimate of when we’re supposed to receive our financial aid package ?
So I was accepted a couple of weeks ago for Urban Studies, but I got a notification the other day that I got rejected? Has this happened to anyone else? Fortunately this hasn’t hurt me to badly as UCI was not my top school. This is just extremely unprofessional on their part.
Hi,
I was accepted to UCI as an undeclared undergraduate. How likely do you think it is that I can change my major to Biological Sciences? Preferably after my first two quarters or at least in my first year. Has anyone been able to do this?
Financial aid decisions begin rolling out on April 3, 2020 according to fafsa.gov.
Hope this helps!

hi!! current uci 2022 student here. I was in your same position and was able to switch into bio in my second year. Can’t really switch during the first year but it doesn’t affect your ability to get bio classes. Really doable if you keep your grades up!
