@csayala93 How did you find out that they are being released this Friday? I called this morning and they still said they weren’t sure what day the majority of decisions would be released.
@amandamarieee It’s based off last years thread and other reliable posters in here.
I’m not sure it’s safe to assume decisions will be released the same week of April this year, compared to last year. All we can do is hope. If we were to assume this… majority of decisions would be out Thursday after 6 PM. The wait is still on going and I wish luck to you all. Hope to see you on campus next semester.
do you guys know if certain colleges are released later? Is there an order to which schools find out when?
Last year I saw UCSC had a large batch of decisions released May 1st. I believe it just depends on when school finish evaluating the applicants. And in general, they try to get decisions out this week of April. So lets keep our fingers crossed our futures will be decided today.
@csayala93 i applied last year and decisions were released April 18-24
@shch7898 Do you know if Acceptances and rejections both come at the same time starting April 18 or are rejections not until later?
This wait is horrendous! I had seen somewhere that it was supposed to be the 13th, seeing as it’s now the 15th I realize it’s just a torturous waiting game we’re going to have to play and not expect we somehow know that magical day.
Wait guys, suppose UCI rejects me.
Do I just take it and try again next year, or can I appeal their decision and beg for a second chance?
@TallOne123 I would appeal their decision first. If that fails, apply again next year.
are any of you as tempted as i am by the “Change your major” link under the “we’ve received your application” blurb?
@potholes I was actually thinking about that too…but idk how and if it’ll affect an admission decision if I haven’t even been admitted (yet? hopefully…)
Well that doesn’t sound like a good idea because they give you priority registration for classes based on your major so if you change it you’ll end up having to wait until someone drops the class you want. My bf currently attends and as a psychology major he tells me its frustrating when he isn’t able to get the bio or chem classes he needs because they filled up before his reg date.
