@hillarydufflebag can vouch. i grew up in newport beach-- we were one of the only middle class families in the area. irvine is a planned city, and feels super sterile. still my top choice because of my major, though.

Hi everyone! I have just been submitted to UCI, but I still have some problems. I want to say that I have any chance to choose a double major? I am psychological science now, but my parents want me to study economic. Do I have any chance to try it?

@kristinpete it depends on the major you applied.
@kristinpete gpa will always be a big deal, but there’s more to that. a pattern to the grades provided in the UC application enforced with any additional comments can be taken into consideration as well. Also remember how one or two grade letters can affect a gpa drastically. I have a 3.2 but I only have 3 Cs. I have 10 As and 9 Bs and 3 Cs. I personally had two jobs and was completely full time. There were three days out of the week I had to work all day long from 9am till 1am. If you have something similar they also take that into consideration.

sign psych transfer here, doesn’t look good for me. A 2.97 GPA at the end of fall, and a 3.12 GPA at the end of winter. Most of the pre-reqs are done (even though there technically isn’t any. UCI is the dream school though
