UCI REGULAR DECISIONS ARE OUT!

The title says it all ... :D

No decision for me yet. CS major and instate.

An email came at 3:47 this morning. CSE and instate. Maybe they are coming in waves???

FYI, it was for basic admission … no honors, no regents.

Btw, I checked both my email and UCI portal repeatedly this morning. My UCI portal stated I was admitted (around noon) but I (still) didnt get an email.

Just a suggestion that everyone check their portals, and not just rely on the email notification!

Son got admitted to chemical engineering around noon. Checked portal. No email yet.

I just checked my myAdmission and apparently I got accepted to UC Irvine undeclared major though :D.

nothing on MyAdmission, nothing in the email inbox…

In case anyone is interested, UC Davis decisions are posted.

Hi, I got admitted undeclared instead of my major. (BME Premed and alt. maj. BME) I just want to confirm, this means I didn’t get in as a BME major right? Or will they change it later?

Did anyone get admitted as a BME?

UCI was one of my top colleges ever since I was a freshman. & thank GOD!! I got my acceptance. My acceptance to UCI is a MIRACLE done by our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ. I was getting a 4.4 weighted high school G.P.A. up until 11th grade, During my jr. year (which is the most important year colleges look at it) I took too much A.P. classes and I couldn’t handle it. Because of my grades during jr. year my G.P,A dropped to a 3.7 weighted high school G.P.A. I thought I could redeem myself on the SAT, but my highest score was only average. So with a 3.7 weighted G.P.A, a D on my transcript, and an average SAT I got accepted to the School of Biological Sciences at UC Irvine all because of God and my patron saint and intercessor Pope Kyrillos VI

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth… Allelulia!” Have Faith and Hope, God can do Anything!! It was impossible for me to get into UCI much less their Biology Major with my status, but through Christ I was able to do the impossible.

@Bonnuit Doesn’t undeclared mean you can still choose any major?

@soaringcicada undeclared technically means you don’t have a major at all. Generally people who enter as undeclared do so in order to complete their gen ed while deciding on what they want to major in, then they declare major for their junior year. As far as the process of declaring a major goes, it really depends on which major you would like you switch to. Some majors (usually the impacted majors) will require those interested to undergo a very rigorous and competitive application process beginning in the sophomore year, while other majors may be a bit easier to switch to.

So to answer your question, yes and no. You may choose to REQUEST to switch to any major, however this does not mean you will automatically ADMITTED to said major.

Darn, that really really sucks. I don’t really want to go through the transfer process without a guarantee

I was accepted as BME at Cal Poly SLO, and I got a Chancellor’s invite to UCSB. I thought I had a pretty good chance with a 2160 (though I know SAT isn’t everything, but my stats were pretty decent in general).

I’m going to call them, but hope you all get in!(:

And for those of you wondering, I didn’t get an email, I just checked on the portal!

Congrats to all who got accepted! I got accepted to (checked My Admissions) today March 14. Rejected from UC Davis.

Does anyone know if the portal will be updated during the weekend or it we’ll have to wait until Monday/weekdays for the next wave of decisions?

FYI, UCSD sent an email with congratulations on admission. The portal isn’t working for us though.

@PopeKyrillos Did you get into UCSC as well? (If you applied, that is)

Just an update … the portal isn’t working for anyone and evidently the email was only sent to those students invited to the Overnight Program. so if you didn’t get it, it doesn’t mean you’re not accepted.

My daughter got her acceptance email from UCI this morning. She got into the school of nursing as an incoming freshman.
