uci sorority

help!
i'm definitely joining a sorority this year (2010!!) at uci. zot zot.
anyways, i need some advice.
i want to join a really FUN sorority but not the one that parties 24/7 either.
and not a sorority that's just for asians, or just for whites or you know.
diversity matters. ;]
so help here??

or at least just give me some opinions on sororities that you know and what you heard about them, so i know to either look for them or to avoid them during rush week.

Yes I’m wondering this too… I want to join one that doesnt haze!! Is it true that all the asian sororities here haze?? D;

I am not part of a sorority, nor have I even rushed one but from a spectator’s point of view, sororities seem to always have something going on. That’s not a bad thing, it actually looks fun going on outings every other day.

If you are attending Celebrate UCI in a few weeks, then that may be your chance to get a first look at some of the sororities and other clubs as well, since they all will be boothing during the celebration.

i love how i’m answering my own post, but if anyone later finds this… i would definitely suggest to RUSH during fall, basically what rush(ing) is for about a week, i kind of forgot but i belive the first thursday of official school day~monday. so it’s a 5-day event, so you’ll get a feel of each sorority before choosing the right one. the first day is brutal, because you have to go and see all 10 sororities, but you’ll def. get a feel of each chapter afterwards so yes, it’s worth it. and your feelings/opinions about each chapter changes after EACH day, it’s crazy how fast your opinions can change, so it’s definitely good to see all 10 chapters, because there are informal recruitment where you specifically go to ONE chapter’s hangout day(to check who they want), but if you do that, you obviously can skip all the hassle of a rush week, but you dont get to see other chapters, WHO could have been “your” chapter, as in where you really belonged.

if you private message me i can tell you about the whole process and about each sorority… i just crossed a fraternity last quarter but i know how the system works. this isnt a gossip site like that ever so infamous one no to be mentioned, so we cant go into detail about each chapter

i hope we can party together this year ;]
