Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Okay let me make something very clear before I get started, ALL UCS EXCEPT UCLA & BERKELEY do not read your personal statements (does not apply to freshmen). Ask admissions and they’ll confirm it.

As for the reason why I got rejected, definitely pre-reqs. Got admitted to UCSD though because they don’t factor in major prerequisites when admitting.

I got the email to check my admission status yesterday at 3 AM.

Got accepted w/ TAG, SIR’d, SLR’d, waiting on Finaid. Feelsgoodman

@fkhan0 You apply to the minor after you get into the UC.
Just look for the minor program on the the Merage School (or whichever school you want) and apply for it there.

Still plenty of time for them to release decisions, don’t panic:)

It would be nice if they would stop sending me emails if they arent going to give me my decision yet

@UCdrone Thank you! Feels good hearing from another cls major :)

By the way, has anyone received their acceptance letter in the mail yet?

@kb4692,

Awesome, thx. Have you been accepted yet? (:

@ctfutures

I don’t think anyone has heard for business admin major. Have they?

nothing about business admin~~

I got into Business Admin for UCI, and 3 other friends did also. We all heard random times, I heard back March 6, my two friends 2 weeks after, and the most recent one one and a half weeks ago. Three of us got regents, and one of us didn’t.

Does anyone know their process or have any hunch on how they send their decisions or is it completely random?

@Eviity: how do you tell if you got Regents?

@isabel They send you an email invitation to regent scholarship. You don’t apply for it. They just pick the best and give them money.

They don’t invite you to regents. You are automatically considered when you send in your UC application.

Being a UCI Regents Scholar goes you the following:
-$2500 for two years.
-Priority registration every quarter.
-Guaranteed housing for two years.
-Graduate level library priveleges.
-Regents Scholar designation on you’re transcript.

Of course all of these perks require you to maintain at least a 3.25 GPA at UCI.

@HopingToXfer: so you can only be a Regent Scholar BEFORE you apply? Or can you qualify after you get accepted?

You get it with your acceptance letter.
