Nope

Good luck for all the people on the waitlist! There’ll be one spot opening up because I’ll be enrolling elsewhere! Too bad, I liked UCSD, but sometimes there are some schools you can’t pass up.

As for admit packets, I haven’t received one. I received packets from other schools promptly after hearing about my acceptance. I doubt there’s going to be a packet if it’s taking them this long.

Just went to UCI admission office and talked to the guy in the front desk. He seemed pretty confused about the packets and didnt know where they were. But he took down my number and will let me know whats the issue on those packets.

I don’t think they do packets… they send you an e-mail.

I didn’t get an email. The only thing I got was an email telling me to check my portal. Then I have the banner on the site that says that I got in. UCLA sent a package, but also on my portal there’s a full letter of congratulations.

^ I’m getting emails from UCI EVERYDAY!! it’s getting annoying.

Officially, one more month of waiting left… I hope we hear something sooner!

Did anyone submit an appeal?

I haven’t received my packet, but I did receive a letter in the mail from my department congratulating me and telling me to contact them if I would like to visit a class.

I am not sure if I am accepting my offer. UCI has given me a ridiculous amount of aid, but I would have to commute from San Diego. I am pretty sure the fact that I am considering the commute qualifies me to be institutionalized. Anyone who has experienced south Orange County traffic knows what I am talking about.

@knhofto ridiculous amount of aid as in barely any or as in ■■■ am I supposed to use all this for? I am waitlisted now but if accepted I will most likely be commuting from SD as well, I live in south SD, and when I say south I mean a few exits from the border. What part are you from?

@moniiique A ridiculous amount of aid as in I will be able to buy a commuter car and still cover the extra money for gas. I think they must give a lot of grant money to student parents. I live in University Heights/Hillcrest. Not quite as far as you, so you get first dibs on the top bunk at the nut house.

@knhofto hahaha! I’m in the house of desperation much more than the nut house. I’m happy it would work out for you, should you choose to go to UCI. My best friend went to UCI and lived in a dorm but drove down to SD almost every day because she didn’t like being alone at school and would drive back in the morning, I would go with her sometimes and commuting was not too bad unless there was an accident or rain. Also, I hear they have a pretty awesome child care center if your child is young enough to need day care.

I didn’t get a packet either… On the other hand, I did get a letter telling me about a scholarship I got from the school. o if only that scholarship was transferable to another school

Finally there comes the IRVINE PACKET…

You got a packet? I got a little letter in the mail from my major department (polisci).

I got emails from my major’s department dean, got mail about summer school yesterday, and today it’s the turn of packet. The envelope is kinda pretty. Finally I got all my admission packets lol~

I hope mine is there when I get home!

@2016candles you bet! They have to send them out at one time due to this fairly late starting~

Damn, nothing in the mail for me But it’s great that they’re finally sending them out. Super late on it though.
