UCI Transfer Housing 2018

I’ll be attending UCI for Fall as a transfer and I’m having a hard time finding information on housing. Does anyone know what the best housing for transfers is?? In terms of location and social environment. I’ve heard Camino, VDCN, and campus village were good…

I was hoping to find some feedback on the transfer housing too. I guess those who already are students there aren’t coming back here to give feedback or answer questions. There’s photos and videos of the freshmen dorms (among Facebook, Instagram, and ?), but have found very little on Arroyo and Campus Village.

Do VDCN assign random roommates or do we have to have one before applying?

Hi,
Im a current UCI student, who was a 2017 transfer and I am also living on campus. I live in the VDC Grad/Upperclassman side and have a few friends who live in Camino. Tbh most of the transfer housing area (the ACC apartments) are decent looking, although camino may be nicer since they have townhouses. For Camino, VDC, & VDCN you would have to take a bus shuttle that UCI provides for free to take you to campus (If you live at VDC Grad/Upperclassmen side, the bus makes its first stop really close by) &these buses tend to get crowded but they also pass by every few minutes. If you have a car that you are planning to take with you to UCI and want to live in a quiet area, VDC grad/upperclass section is great because you get free parking and free visitor hours each quarter which is unheard of for Camino who, has to pay 300 each quarter (plus their rent) to park in a parking structure that isn’t even close by to the apartments. Also all the apartments come furnished, with wifi & have pool/jacuzzi In each apartment section. We also have study lounges, & for the VDC Grad/Upperclassmen side we have our own Grad study lounge apart from the VDC community center study lounge. Usually all ACC apartments have events/free food throughout the quarter in their community center in which you get to meet other residents and socialize. Remember you can schedule a tour to see these apartment for yourself by calling their offices! Hope you got some insight on the apartments!

Hello ! I am a Fall 2018 transfer and was assigned to VDCN and I have a roommate. We are both trying to get two more people to move in with us if possible girls please. Let me know if you’re interested .

@memequeen17 are you really a meme queen I wonder

Anyways, a bit of a tangent, does anyone know the chances of a transfer waitlist acceptee getting something in housing? Or is it way too late?
