This is a thread for other wait listed transfer students at UCI for 2014.

Major: Business Administration
GPA: 3.8
IGETC: yes, by end of semester
Accepted: UCR, CSU LB, Cal Poly Pomona
Waitlist: UCI
Rejected: none so far

UCI is my top choice; however, this June 15 decision date is driving me crazy when other schools need SIR and housing deposits already in May.

Would we even still be guaranteed housing as a waitlist transfer student?

I was waitlisted for UCI and denied by UCB,UCD. I made the mistake of only applying to 3 schools.

I did TAG with UCI and met all the qualifications. However, it got revoked because I accidentally chose the wrong major on my UC Application. My major of intent was Psychology and social behavior, right underneath that is social ecology on the application so i think i clicked social ecology on my application. So they revoked my tag eventhough it was a minor mistake. I tried to fix this back in January and they changed it but it was too late.

Admissions counselor suggested I write an appeal letter. This is really unfortunate because I met all the requirement but that mistake messed it up. I was so happy about Irvine and now I have to wait untill june 15 or later to find out.

To make matters worse, I didnt get into the other two so I should start thinking of a plan B for my future…

Also we are not guaranteed housing, which is really unfortunate. However, I think their housing does not fill up because students find housing close to school for cheaper.

Major: Criminology, Law, and Society
GPA: 3.2
IGETC: yes, by end of semester
Accepted: ASU, Sacramento State, San Jose State, CSULA
Waitlist: UCI
Rejected: CSU Long Beach

UCI is the only UC I applied to, thanks to the encouragement of two dear friends of mine. I was very much surprised to have been given the option to put on a wait-list. I expected an outright rejection. Anyway, I do hope we can all be given admission spots for the next year. Even so, it’s best to plan enrollment to another university just in case! I’m debating between Sacramento State and San Jose State.

@AJYZPLEZ – Yes, send them all your FINAL transcripts of all your colleges/universities you have attended. I asked if they could be “in-progress” transcripts, but was told it’s better to send the FINAL official ones.

@AJYZPLEZ – Yes, but only if you have your FINAL grades posted and ready. If you’re taking any courses right now, send your completed final transcript as soon as your final grades are posted.

@uci211dansanta — so you mean just the send the pervious official grade to them, and send the final transcript of the spring quarter(which is the one I am taking) once I got it, right? Thank you

@AJYZPLEZ – if you have only attended one school, the one you are in right now, send your final transcript once your spring quarter grades are posted.

If you have attended another school, and are done with it, send those official and final transcripts as well.

i called and asked if it was okay to send in “in progress” transcripts and they said they were okay with that. My classes don’t end until june 6.

@ChemSRCT — How do you sent “in progress” transcripts? My classes are also end about mid JUNE. Do you ask professor for current grade or sth? Thank you

@AJYZPLEZ i just sent my official transcripts and it shows that I’m currently taking those classes right now. After June 6 i will send my transcripts

@ChemSRCT ---- so you mean you are sending the official transcripts of all the pervious done classes and will sent official transcripts of the spring term when you are done with it even its over the due day(6/1)? just want to make it clear, thank you:)
