In less than 2 weeks I have to submit my intent to register. Any advice as to where I should go:UCI,UCSB, or UCSD? I am undeclared and at a loss of info. I visited UCI today and loved it; but a lot of people rank UCI @ the bottom of the UC's. Are they right?

UCI is a good school depending on your major and what you make of your undergraduate studies.

where did you get that info? UCI is not ranked low...you sure you are not confusing it with UCR?

UCR is definitely ranked low and the pre-med kids who go to UCR often go for the thomas-haider program where they guarantee 25 kids from UCR into UCLA's MED school, but the thing is your first two years of med school is at UCR so really it's 6 year's at UCR and 2 at UCLA with a MD degree from LA and a BS/BA from UCR.

UCSD is probably the strongest school of those choices, and it has the big school advantage (as do all of your choices) but the exception is that UCSD is broken up into "mini colleges" thus making it have a smaller feel.

I would go for UCSD or UCSB---although UCSB does have a reputation of being a party school, it is hands down a reputable school nonetheless.

c'est vous qui voyez

I personally think UCI is a pretty awesome school, if you like it go for it (and I think it's less expensive than SD when you factor in room and board, etc.) I don't attend UCI but I know quite a bit of stuff about it (I've taken summer courses, done research there, and have many friends there). If you want to discuss it with me my screen name is darthsherwin.
