<p>UCLA will costs 40-50k in loans after graduation while UCI will be free cause I can commute. Which is the better path to take? I know UCLA is ranked higher than UCI obviously but how much does it matter? What will be the differences career-wise? I wouldn't imagine that either would start significantly at a higher salary than the other. Would UCLA be worth it financially?</p>
<p>TBH, the universities would practically be the same. There may probably be better networking opportunities in LA but those won’t impact a person’s career so much as his grad school admittance.</p>
