UCI vs. UCR English

How well does UCR's english department compare against UCI's?

I am thinking of going to UCR instead of UCI. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

In a hindsight, UCI is probably better. I could be wrong. UCI is growing fast and I'm sure their english department is also. Choose the best school for you as a person. I would strongly recommend UCI though.

Is this department any good?
We take pride, and we hope you will too, in the high national rankings of our department. U.S. News & World Report ranks our English graduate program 16th in the country, our Comparative Literature graduate program 8th in the country, and our Creative Writing Program 6th in the country! That makes us pretty much the best Department at UCI, and one of the best English programs and Comparative Literature programs in the western United States.

But rankings, shmankings. You need to take our courses and get to know our faculty to find out how good we really are!
