I'm currently deciding between uci and ucsb. I really like the campus of ucsb more than uci. For UCI, I'd be majoring in Public Health Science, for UCSB- Environmental Studies. I'm hoping to work in healthcare or something related to health as long as it isn't being a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. I'm wondering if I was planning on going to graduate school, would the prestige of the undergrad matter? What if I got a higher gpa at ucsb but a decent gpa at uci, since ucsb is usually downgraded as a party school, would going to uci have an advantage? UCSB is ranked higher than UCI or sometimes tied in rankings, but it is still considered lower than uci.

These school are comparable and your GPA would be weighted the same at both. I would not worry about that. There are both top 50 universities in the nation. I think you would worry more about where you would feel comfortable living for 4 years.
