UCI vs UCSB

Hi I am planing to major in bio then for pre-med. Im debating if i should go to UCSB or UCI, i like UCSB's campus and surrounding and environment a lot better than UCI's. But the thing is that UCI has a better bio program and has a medical school. Is UCSB's bio really that bad, and do i have a worse chance of going to a medical school if i go to UCSB.

UCI no brainer

Didn't UCSB's bio department just win a Nobel?

Either one is a great school. UCSB might make you party too much though, so many good keggers at IV it's impossible to not have fun!

any other suggestions???

Have you visited both campuses yet? Might be time to hit PCH!

i visited UCSB and loved it, but is there bio program not as great as irvines and will i have less of a chance in getting into medical school if i go to SB

How can you argue that without data? Look at the yield of UCSB students to med school versus Irvine.

And if you're going to hate living in Irvine, you're going to do poorly anyway. Also, what happens if you change majors? Bio is not the only (or even best) route to med school!

They both have very good bio programs, just choose the campus that you like more

where do i find the data... :(

This is up to YOU. Email the departments and ask. However, I can almost bet you that the difference is statistically insignificant...

You should think about Davis which has a better Bio Program than Invine and SB.

i didn't apply there too far =</p>
