<p>I know there's still 17 days til the UCI waitlist decisions are announced, but for those who are on the waitlist, did you guys give up on UCI or are you being hopeful like me??</p>
<p>I think there is a good possibility that transfers will get in. Although I already have my sights into another school.</p>
<p>Correct me if i’m wrong but this year I heard all freshman waitlisters got rejected. Therefore, i’m thinking that since they are making transfers wait longer, until jun 15? that is to weed out those that haven’t accepted and also rejecting freshman waitlisters means that they maybe making room for transfer students… maybe…</p>
<p>The freshman waitlist doesn’t really have any influence on the transfer waitlist since freshman wouldn’t really be taking any of the same classes as transfers. The transfer waitlist is solely dependent on how many transfers SIR and accept their admission. Since the SIR date is June 1st, they’re probably giving themselves a 2 week buffer to sort through what majors might have room for more students and they will probably accept people off the waitlist according to that (if at all).</p>
<p>Personally, I don’t think they’re going to accept many (if any) people off the waitlist.</p>
<p>I imagine lots of people will get spots due to the slightly unreasonable conditions of admission they throw at lots of people.</p>

<p>I was just offered admission from the waitlist yesterday, Senior transfer Aerospace Engineering 3.4 GPA. I have also heard of other transfer waitlisters getting in so don’t lose hope.</p>

<p>I’m still waiting on a reply, i hope i don’t get a notification on the 15th =\ on the last day like last time. that would be heart wrenching.</p>

<p>bioengineering. i was saying ■■■ because i had wanted to go to uci all along, but after being waitlisted over the past few weeks i convinced myself that i should go to Cal. now im kind of over uci :\ but its sooo tempting to take the easy way out and stay close to home in orange county</p>
<p>Well if you got into Cal than you should go there for sure!!!</p>
<p>but actually yeah i kinda wanted to switch into bio for microbio anyway so the backup part didnt matter. </p>
<p>for anyone who might be interested in this info: i have to accept my waitlist offer by the ninth so they only give you a week to decide before they move on.</p>

<p>I got accepted for my intended major of PSB! I didn’t check my status yesterday so I’m not sure if it was today or yesterday they sent it out. </p>
<p>I’m super excited because my back up plan was to take some more upper division math classes at my current CCC and try again for next fall. SO glad I don’t have to do that seeing as I’ve already got 2 AA and am completely IGETC certified.</p>
