UCLA Admission?? Help Please!

Hi everyone, so I'm a longtime lurker ( sorry if that sounds weird) This website has been tremendously helpful throughout the entire transfer process. I have a question, and I hope you can all provide some insight from similar situations from the past. So I was accepted to UCLA as a transfer for 2013 as a Chicana/o Studies with a 3.11. I know that is tremendously low (even for my major), but I strongly believe my extracurriculars, upward trend and personal statement got me in.

i am extremely afraid my admission will be revoked, I am currently taking 4 classes, social psych, biopsych, chicano studies, and chemistry. My semester does not end till mid-May, and I strongly believe I will get A's in all my classes except chemistry. I am afraid I will fail my chem class since there simply isnt points left in order to get a C, and I have talked to my professor about it, but he could care less. I think I might end up with a D. Chem is not a major prerequisite, but is needed for my IGETC certification. I have emailed UCLA and explained my situation and asked if I could retake the class during summer ( I am currently waiting for a response from them) Have any of you heard of similar situations where UCLA allowed them to retake a course during summer? (I'm positive I can get a much higher grade)

Any help and insight is extremely appreciated! The reason for my possible failing grade, and low GPA is because I have worked throughout my entire community college educational career since my mom lost her job after I graduated high school and I have been the sole provider for the last three years.
