The date of March 19th, 2009 for UCLA has been circulated around CC for some time without much confirmation. I just would like to confirm it with a link to the UCLA Housing website. On the calendar it has this listing: march 19th - First-year Students Live Chat 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Logically, they would only open this chat if people knew they were accepted on or prior to March 19th...

We can safely assume that admissions will be posted by March 19th at the latest then. I'd think they would be out even before as the Live Chat is 12pm-6pm on the 19th and they need to give advance notice.

it will be prior to the 19th. b/c last year, admissions came out on the 19th and the chat was scheduled for the 20th. housing will send all those admitted an email with an access code to use the chat, and those take time to send out.

It'll probably be the 18th. Last year it came out on a Wednesday and all of the releases of the other UCs have been on the same day as last year (Davis at midnight Thursday, San Diego on Saturday, Santa Babara on Monday). Good luck to everyone!

What time will the decisions be released? Its an email, right?

March 15, 2009 How will I know if I have been admitted to UCLA?

Applicants:
As in years past, the official admission decisions will be made available to applicants online...when decisions are public later this month. In addition, applicants that are admitted will receive a packet by postal mail. However, students that are not admitted to UCLA will only receive notification via the online site.

Zizi: I don't think you get a packet on the day of the 18th. But they're just saying it'll be sent to you while the people who were rejected will not be getting a rejection letter.

I doubt I'll get in, but I still can't wait to find out. I'm somewhat bummed that I won't get an official rejection letter, I consider it almost a right of passage to be rejected from UCLA.
