I just noticed that I put down the city that I currently live in as my city of birth. On the application, it was really easy to make this mistake, because they asked for my entire home address.

I have already been accepted. I know this is a very minor mistake, but is anyone familiar with their admissions standards (i.e. very strict)? Should I give them a heads up, or just let it go by since what they are really verifying are your academic transcripts?

i don't see how that would effect anything whatsoever, but if you're really paranoid about it you could easily call the office for admitted students and they could clear it up. Don't worry about it!! I hope I see you there next fall!
I had a dilemma about a week ago, and I'm wondering if I could have your advice. I filled out my academic stuff with the help of my counselor, but w/o an official transcript because it had not yet arrived (just moved to a new school). It turns out on semester I reported as an A was actually a B! My counselor told me not to worry, but I sent them an email just in case. They said to fill out this form, but the form didn't really looked like it applied to the situation, so I called the office and explained my story. She said it was up to me whether or not I reported it, but that it really didn't matter and said she could guarantee the difference between an A and B would never get my admission revoked. I'm still a little paranoid cause UCLA is like a dream...what would you do? The whole misreport in the grade was a complete accident, I just want to make sure everything turns out OK.

hmm...caligirl...i think just to be safe you should an e-mail around the time you send in your official transcript. say that it was an honest mistake and that you hope it wont change their decision. im sure you'll be fine b/c you've already been accepted and that seems sorta minor b/c overall your grades are good right?? no worries. good luck at ucla.

I had a similar situation with an English class that I accidently reported as Honors (it was a class I took at a community college, so either way they viewed it as a "CL" class). They said it was no problem when i e-mailed them about it, and your problem seems even less significant. Good luck fixing it.

If it isn't somewhere in California then I can't foresee a problem at all...I think location only matters in the slightest when they're considering your status as in-state/out of state...but even so I don't think it's that big a factor.

Thanks for the responses!! Yeah I know it shouldn't be that big of a deal...I'm just confused on what if anything I should do now. When I sent the email, the admissions officer said to fill out the Provisional Problem Form, but when I looked at the form it didn't really look like it worked for this situation so I gave the admissions office a call. She said it's best to just leave it alone (not fill out form) because it isn't going to make any difference in my acceptance. At first I felt relieved, but now I'm wondering why the difference of opinion...

I feel like going back to fill out the form now, might seem a little weird (since they sent the email like a week and half ago...plus, the form looks like it's for people who have Fs or dropped a class), but I want to make sure it won't cause problems later!!

Also, if this makes any difference, I took 16 semesters of UC approved class jr. year and got 14 A's, 2 B's (I reported 1 B, but it's actually 2).
And my 1st semester senior yr. grades are 4 A's, 1 B :)

wow crazy i made the exact same mistake even thought i checked it over like 10 times...but i corrected it before they made their decisions...shouldn be a big problem

sorry i've been gone for a few days...thanks for the responses!

babiblu - that's crazy! how did you correct the mistake? When I called they said don't worry about it, and the Provisional Problem form seems a little drastic for such a minor problem! I think I might just stop in and talk to admissions when I go to Welcome Day so they can correct it...?
