Settling this once and for all. I just called them.

Perhaps posting this on the UCLA forum would be more appropriate...

She already did. It's just to emphasize that now the two top ranked UCs are coming out on the same day. That's sure going to be a VERY good/bad day for a lot of people...

I cut my losses by applying only to UCLA.

i just want to get into both ucs..

Me too, lol, but only time will tell...

For those of you who dont believe that decisions will be released friday because the Office of Admissions is closed that day, I can assure you that all of these admission decision websites are computer activated and do not require the office to be open for the site to function. My son is still anxiously awaiting his decision from UCLA and so I called my friend at the Admissions Office today and she told me that decisions will most likely be up on Friday the 30th at 5PM PST. For all of you who are in denial at this disappointing delay, I suggest that you take your mind off of college for a night and get some sleep for once...

btw matt just told us on the ucla form that he was just joking, he probably forgot he posted in this thread to, so to clarify,

HE DIDN'T CALL THE OFFICE, DECISIONS WILL STILL BE RELEASED TOMORROW FOR UCLA

i still don't get why this is in the berk thread...

sorry but no one cares about ucla...it's a Cal wannabe jk.

One good note, if you applied to both schools for engineering and didn't get into Cal (most likely) you'll have a very good chance at ucla....their engineering is nowhere near as competitive as Cal.

well we all don't care about LA right now, but when we get rejected from berk, and if we get accepted to LA we will, lol

but yeah i'd def love to go to berk way over la

mosharma134, that's not all true.

i know of quite a few students who got accepted into berkeley engineering and not ucla engineering my year.

and Cal is just a Stanford wannabe..jk ;)

Fine print:Please don't flame me or start a lengthy debate about this..it really is just a joke

i have a question, ist 5:00pm pacific time??? cuz i live in central time

PDT, yeah, because the schools are in California (Pacific Time).

soooo which school do you think will release decisions first???
i have a feeling that berk will...

Probably both at the same time.

probably not, but hopefully so

probably UCLA because no offense to berkeley but UCLA is a little faster with these kinds of things. knowing from experience, berkeley tends to lag a little.
Hope berkeley brings good news to all of you because berkeley is an awesome school :]

last year I thought the admission postings came before 5pm...if I remember correctly...I thought i signed on around 4ish and it was up...hmmm.

People who called UCLA today were told that decisions would be posted "either today or tomorrow, no definite time." blaksjdlfajsf.

At least CAL told us a definite day and time. I can't stand the whole 'UCLA might be coming out any time!' deal.
