I dont know.. I was the kind of hardhead that really didn't want to settle with any of my safeties.. when i finally decided i wanted to apply to UCSD. My siblings (all of which went to UCLA or berkeley) told me thats a stupid idea. Now looking back on it, I know what the truly stupid idea was.

Anyways, I dont know.. The best thing for me to say right now is: Funny how fate works out.

^^^The smartest person at our school (He's BRILLIANT) didn't get into any of the schools he applied for (HY Dartmouth, Carnegie Mellon) and didn't apply to any safeties...the thing with him though is that he had NO extracurriculars so its a little different from your situation...lol now i think he's going to U of mississippi or something which seems kinda random...He never listened to any of the counselors or his friends telling him that it would be hard because he had no EC's even though he has perfect gpa and sat and ap scores.

this wait is ridiculous and reflects poorly on a school with such national recognition. ucla's disorganization is an embarrassment to highly respected UC system.

anyone know how it works after you get in by appeal? I tried to apply for housing online today ,but after trying to answer the question asking if I was a first year undergrad, the site wouldn't let me go further, saying i applied too late. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can answer how to turn in the housing app, thanks =]

hmm, yea i heard that too, but I think I should still be able to apply. When i tried through the online housing app, it seriously wouldn't let me apply for single undergraduate because I was "too late". Then I randomly clicked and said i was a single graduate student, and it let me proceed. So I am hoping someone can help me figure this out =[. Thanks in advance.

Happy, I was admitted through appeals, and it originally didn't let me fill out the housing application (too late). For some reason, it is letting me fill it out now. Just a heads up.
