UCLA Art: Portfolio vs GPA?

I asked the scholarship question because I’m not sure if it means anything. I have been offering advice to a current applicant and she got nominated by the School of Art to fill out a UCLA Alumni Art Scholarship form. I don’t have enough data to know if this has any correlation to acceptances or not.

Don’t stress - we will all know the answers on Friday.

Best of Luck,
Wheaty

this makes me even more anxious. hope my portfolio stood out :/

The student I was advising got accepted so it looks like that scholarship email has meaning. :slight_smile:

Rejected :(

Same… :(

@Jaehjlee did u apply for Design Media Arts?

@zebrashorts I applied as a fine arts major, not DMA

For future applicants, my son was admitted but did not receive an invitation to apply for an alumni scholarship. So while the invite appears to mean acceptance, you can still be accepted without the invitation.

@Lapugliesa Congrats on your son’s acceptance! :)

@Jaehijlee Thank you. I am sorry it did not turn out as you hoped. I know wherever you decide to go will turn out to be a great experience. Good luck!
