UCLA as a out-of state applicant

Hey so I applied to UCLA as a out of state applicant for music industry and business but the major doesn’t have any pre-reqs since it’s specialty major but I’m not sure if it’s enough to meet the requirement for junior level standard . I talked to somebody at UCLA but they said focus on UC admission requirements with the 7patterns and some music classes. Please help me out

I would look at the course prep for a similar major such as Music History and Industry.

Recommended preparation for the major:

  • A one-year comprehensive music theory course sequence, incorporating musicianship (ear training and sight singing), as well as keyboard skills; or one year of music theory and one year of musicianship (ear training and sight singing)
  • Two years of applied studio instruction on a primary instrument

Plus the IGETC course pattern as noted.
