UCLA Basketball '07/'08

I agree that we should sit all the starters tomorrow. We have the 1 seed out west locked up, no need to risk injury to somebody because of pride. I think we can get by the 1st round w/o Luc but a 1-8/9 game is no gimme. In 2006 UCLA (2) beat Alabama (10) by 3 points and in 2007 we (2) beat Indiana (7) by 5.

Sit our starters and give up the game, eh? Tsk tsk. That's not what those kids are out there on the court for and it's not what Bruin basketball is about.

Howland, especially, would never even consider it. He plays every game 100% and if we lose focus for even one game it could be the end of us.

Besides, we have the 1 seed out west but we're still reaching for the 1 seed overall which would have us play even easier opponents in the opening rounds. I'd rather play a Tennessee than a Kansas or Texas...

And yet you saw what happened Saturday......

Yup, you beat the 9th place team in the Pac-10. Dude, you're one of the top, if not THE top, program in the country. You SHOULD be beating horrible teams by that much.

Great move not sitting the players....as love goes out w/ an injury.

No, Love is impervious to injury. It's simply not possible, not possible....

Howland needs to ****ing sit him until at least the second half. What's the point in him coming in every three minutes only to get injured and get benched again?

He's looking okay for now. UCLA on a 9-1 run to tie the game!

Our team is ****ing clockwork baby!

How good are we!?!?! LoMa block on the 7-footer to fast break to Collison three with a hand in his face!

And Love with the 3. Hope he is not hurt that bad. Anyone know when Luc is supposed to come back.

Luc said he'll be ready to go next week...I expect he wont be 100% but it'll be good to have him no matter what. Love needs to sit this whole game, he looks really hurt. Word from the bench is back spasms so hopefully it's not that bad.

Darren FTMFW

Great win today. Hope KLove is alright, and that Luc will be okay by next week.

Why is Howland playing Keefe over Aboya? Both can rebound (both sides of the floor) .. both are tough ... both are below average FT shooters .. I'd pick Aboya for his experience and size though.

Well, we saw why. Keefe killed it (sans his FT airball) and was a great garbage man in the key..

Keefe was amazing today

I am just glad we never really had to do a comeback win. We may have been down a bit to USC atthe hlaf, but that game never seemed like it was getting out of reach. It gives me way more confidence in them for the tourny.

Bring up thread.
