personally I think theleakers is being too paranoid. I mean 35 ACT for instate pretty much guarantees acceptance.

I think leakers is being realistic. There’s always the crapshoot component. I have a 2340SAT and while I hope that means I’m in, I’m not assuming anything.

I am totally exhausted !!!
I need an oxygen mask, every part of my body is cramping up …

there is absolutely no guarantee concerning UCB or UCLA
I didn’t get a ‘likely’ email from the engineering department, so that is not very reassuring …
my top 3 choices are UCLA, UCSD and UCI, worst come to worst I will end up at UCI, which is not bad at all because I want to major in their computer game science …

but, folks, I just want to have this over and move on with my life, this is totally consuming …

Last year all I heard about was how tedious the college applcation process would be. Somehow no one mentioned that the waiting to hear after the applications were done was really the issue. The apps were a piece of cake. This is the true hard part.

<<this is=“” the=“” true=“” hard=“” part.=“”>></this>

the hardest part is when I have to face the reality of rejection !!!

@theleakers

you admit at least that there is more chance of you getting admitted than getting rejected right? UCLA is random but statistics are quite important and you’re in-state.

We should totally come up with some kind of game that would help us get through the next few hours. It’ll be particularly hard for me, since it’s just got to 11 PM now, and I’ll be up all night waiting for the results. Any ideas?

Except they need out of state money. I read something recently talking about how each in-state kid is technically costing the college money and so they need the OOS for revenue. I’m just glad that they have to except mostly IS haha. I guess I’m not following my Lent-al sacrifice of not obsessing. Oh jeez.

@Rush
Well there’s always drugs…

:p

Leakers isn’t. He applied to HSSEAS and did not receive a “likely” letter.

you are right, I am not paranoid, I am just being realistic, not receiving a likely email is not a good sign, that does not mean I will get rejected for sure, but the chance has diminished a lot …

For some students, the hardest part was actually making the decision of where to spend the next 4 years!

Students who have a realistic college list based on their profile usually end up with multiple acceptances and usually have 2 or 3 good choices. It can be very difficult to pick the ONE.

so freaking nervous. my hands are cold and clammy.

Think the Tsunami will affect the release date?

@LittleJc

did it affect Los Angeles?

@impetuous,

The tsunami did not affect Los Angeles or the Western Seaboard besides receiving some higher waves (6-8 ft). The tsunami hasn’t affected Pepperdine University so I’m sure UCLA will be just fine. :)

the tsunami just washed all the UCLA servers away, holy smoke, I saw it on TV
all the admission decision just got washed away …

@AvidStudent Kk. Good to hear! ^_^

Lots of damage in the Santa Cruz Harbor though. 9 ft surge moved rapidly in/out ripping boats from moorings. :(

Evacuations in Morro Bay currently too.

I guess UC Santa Cruz decisions will be delayed …
