UCLA Class of 2018 Official Decisions/Discussion

@robinu6 Ohh, nice!

Just hit the 24 hour mark, guys. :o

Good luck to everyone! It’s never too late to pray to God about it!

@Lilliana330 and @jackson61 wow, i hope so!

LESS THAN 24 HOURS LEFT

if we consider 5:30pm as the supposed “early evening” UCLA claims lul
ahh so crazy. i’ve been dreaming over this college for so long and freaking out over my application since november!

This is it, guys! The final stretch…

@darkrum yes! it’s true. it’s supposedly the most UCLA has ever had. But, if you consider ONLY freshmen applicants, i think it’s about 85,000? At least this is what i hear…

@EmperorWu UC’s aren’t allowed to practice affirmative action

I’m freaking out, guys. The noises I’ve made in anticipation for the results tomorrow have not been human. I want these results and I don’t want these results.

Also, I’m East Coast, which means they aren’t coming in until late evening.

That being said-- good luck to everyone!!

We should empty our minds of everything but fine dining and breathing

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA 85k GG my chances of getting in

Best of luck y’all!

@teahunchoi - I wouldn’t say that U of W is above Calpoly SLO. Pretty equal with cp slo being a harder school to get into with great stats, as you know. U of W is a great option especially if you can save money on in state tuition!

There’s so many applicants that they should make another UCLA to accommodate for all the qualified folks.

I FEELS A REJECTION IN MY PATH

so apparently the average GPA for admitted students is a 3.8, but at my school all the UCLA admits have mostly had 3.9+ GPAs in the past. I’m so confused and probably rejected w/ my 3.82 arghhh

Number of freshmen applicants for 2014:
UCLA - 86,472, +7.5%
UC Berkeley - 73,711, +8.9%

If the UC’s accept the same number of applicants this year as last year, here are the expected acceptance rates for the 2 most selective UCs:

UC Berkeley: 19.1% (last year=20.8%)
UCLA: 18.7% (last year=20.1%)

@chickeninabiskit lmao!

Praying I get accepted.

waitlisted at uchicago, so ucla and cal are my top choices right now…I don’t think I’ve ever been more nervous haha. good luck everyone!

just out of curiosity what universities have you guys heard back from thus far?

@caffeinecup better than a rejection! I knew a girl last year who had perfect scores (2400, 4.0) and got rejected. You beat a ton of people to get on that waitlist!
