ugh it’s not coming today
You can receive both scholarships. My son received both a few years ago. He got the Alumni invite first and was notified about Regents sometime after that. I honestly can’t remember the timing.
What percent of applicants/admittees get Regents? If you don’t get it, you can still get in, right?
The vast majority of applicants do not get Regents. Yes, if you don’t get it you can still get accepted. @MomLA2018
roughly top 1% of applicants become candidates for Regents I believe @MomLA2018, and only 100 end up actually getting regents. Most admitted definitely do not get regents.
Thanks @ScreenNamee17 – from reading this board, sometimes it seems like everyone gets them! good luck to all
CC is inherently skewed as many of the students posting on here are strong applicants. It also makes sense that less would post about not getting Regents @MomLA2018
Got it. UCLA is D’s first choice but alas she has so much company! And there is no way she is in the top 1% of applicants.
So I just got an early admit from UCSC, does that mean I won’t get one from UCLA? Did anyone ever get two or more?
I Have a 4.8 and 33 act. Nothing from Santa Cruz. Kind of disappointed. I got alumni email. And regents from ucsb.
You already posted on A2C bro doing double-tab I see you :))))
UCLA Regents is coming out in 25 minutes supposedly so dont worry abt Santa Cruz
I’m not sure what determinant is used to send the alumni scholarship email. However, any applicant can apply for the scholarship It’s not an invitation only opportunity. The application portal is available on the UCLA website.
@grundeis This will be an exciting 20 more minutes!
UCLA seems to come out on the third Friday in march each year. so is march 16th what everyone thinks for this year?
No alumni scholarship invite means no regents, right?
I would guess. But not necessarily.
Anything?
Maybe next week.
Whoever said it was going to be at 4:50 and set the entire A2C on fire, where do you get that information??
We are all hoping for it every single time and then we get nothing!
Where does this information even come from?
@grundeis I didn’t say it would for sure come out at 4:50. What I said is Ucla typically sends out emails around then because that’s when phone lines close so parents and applicants don’t swarm them calling why ___ didn’t get ____. I know this is stressful not knowing where you’ll go but your best bet is to relax. Refreshing a portal or checking your email hundreds of times a day isn’t going to help. I’d like to think the information I’ve posted is at least somewhat helpful.
