anyone else waitlisted?

accepted for biology! (in state)
GPA - 4.3
ACT - 35
SAT - 1560

@Heisenberg1700 Yeah mate. Don’t know if it’s good or bad. Feels totally like a rejection for me.

Is regents notified?

@lovespink Same here - waitlist UCLA engineering, accepted UCSD, with similar stats.

ACCEPTED! undeclared humanities
I cannot believe this I really thought there was no way.
ACT 32
Gpa 4.0 and weighted 4.4
EC’s: worked at elementary school for a few months, doctor office intern, pageants, freshmen class president and lots of volunteering

Essays: my best on was about my alcoholic dad and how I learned to love myself. Others were felt pretty average about pageants allowing my to recognize my love for communicating with others, how a school project allowed me to branch out and find creativity and my last one was about how volunteering makes my life better and centered around kindness.

For those applying next year: you do not need to hire somebody to write or fill out your application. Speak from your heart and go into depth about what makes you who you are! somebody gave me advice to really explain the why of everything in the essays. Why do I volunteer, why its important to be kind why why why is key. Clearly the UC’s are looking for more than just scores and I think showing them a deeper level of myself is what helped me get in.

@MatthewW12 I asked my friend who is at UCLA and she said that you get the notification in the financial aid package that they mail you
