ok so I to to mail.ucla.edu and i click my inbox and everything is deleted.. it says "no messages". BUT when I go to microsoft outlook for my ucla email, all the messages are there.. is anyone having the same problem with their ucla email online?

oh outlook/entourage(if you are using mac) takes the emails from your email inbox and moves it to your harddrive, at least thats how i think it works... try this: send yourself an email, check if your ucla mailbox gets it (leave outlook closed) after you make sure it is in the inbox use outlook to receive that message, log onto ucla mail again and the email should be gone... thats what happened last time i tested it

Specifically, if you use the POP protocol, the default is to delete the messages from the server when you get it. You should consider setting your email client to use IMAP instead, which not only leaves the messages on the server, it also allows you to access your folders on the server. (Basically the webmail is like IMAP.)

soo if i delete my outlook email account, then will the myucla email online have the emails back?

wait I think I got it, thanks
