@choii LOCI = Letter of Continued Interest which is you telling the college in writing that you still want to attend. Yes, there is a template on the form that shows how to put in grades. It is written in blue above the text box. @Iloveucla244
@choiii LOCI means āletter of continued interestā. if you do a quick google search there are some articles on what they are and the best way to write them! and yes, putting IP is totally fine and expected since most schools are not yet finished
@Iloveucla244 Yes, the example has both and the instructions say āPlease provide your fall and winter grades, your spring course scheduleā¦ā
For the admission, would it be better(or not) if I change the grading option to P/NP for the class that I am going to get B or B+?
I wonder this too. Iām taking five classes and I might get a B or two cause of this quarantine so I kind of want to do P/NP but theyāre major prep classes so Iām not sure.
Wishing each and every one of you the best of luck! We are gonna go through this together!
Good luck everyone! Things in the world may seem bleak currently but I have a good feeling about this!
āNote: Not all decisions have been made for students on the waitlist.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis and will be posted here on our decision site. Please continue to check back. An email will also be sent to notify you once a decision has been made.ā
EEK!! So excited!!!
Is there a reason to expect some waitlist results today? Iām confused by the excitement lol
Does that mean if we receive an email soon after June 1st, it will most likely be notifying us of an acceptance? Iām confused to whether they send out acceptance/rejection emails throughout the summer or if they send out acceptances throughout the summer, then rejections at the very end.
The first waves of decisions are typically all acceptances but that does not mean that if you havenāt heard back by a certain month then youāre not in. Some students last year were accepted as late as August.
So to answer your question, if you hear back by early June, it is very likely to be an acceptance.
All of what I just said has been proven by past threads, by the way!
@letstryround2 haha no Iām just excited that theyāre officially starting to look into them
Am I the only one who keeps anxiously checking their portal and email even though we wonāt even be hearing back until June? Iām so anxious!!
I am hoping to change one of my non major-prep courses to P/NP, but now that itās past the May 15 LOCI deadline, do I need to notify UCLA of this?
I would just wait to update them on this if you get off the waitlist
@zeeer0 As long as you complete 60 or more UC transferable units, you will be fine. You wonāt be penalized for P/NP or EWās not previously disclosed on your application.
@flyingpancakes00 should I write roci?
I just input why I missed one pre-req course and I interested in UCLA
@zeeer0 agree with others. Just wait.
does anyone know the stats for people who got accepted off the waitlist for last year? I could not find any.
@snorost Someone posted the statistics a couple of days ago in this thread
I wonder how many people are not going to enroll due to this pandemic.
I heard waitlisted students have a very little to no chance of getting in but maybe this year itās different.
