Taking into account briannat43’s post, as well as what the lady I called told me, April 28th seems to be the likely date, in my opinion.
I think he meant full weeks probably so this week or early next
Ooof… Can’t believe they r still reading transfer apps while uci had already released most/all of its decisions.
Well, they did receive a ton more applications this year than ever before. Somehow they still managed to release freshman decisions in mid-March, so maybe that’s why they’ve slowed down a little.
I thought they already read everyone’s since they were looking at the alumni scholarships
I still can’t believe we submitted applications in November and there’s even a slim possibility decisions might release in May.
every person who picks up the phone seems to have said something slightly different so we can’t rlly rely on any of it at this point
I didn’t apply to a cal state but I can imagine for those of you who did and are expected to commit by may 1st, they should give you guys an extension because I can’t imagine making a decision after just a few days of thinking or researching schools. Especially if you are waiting on financial aid packages which take longer to show up sometimes.
Hey you guys, I called admissions today to talk to them about some coursework but also about the release of the admissions decisions. She said that because they received so many applications this year they still don’t know when they’re releasing decisions and they’re not done going through the applications. I asked her to confirm that it would NOT be tomorrow and she said “No… probably not”. And then she said she didn’t know if it would be this Friday or next Friday. So I’m assuming next Friday because Berkeley is this Friday. Pretty unfortunate considering UCLA has not released on April 30th in any recent years.
I am not hopeful for any date but I still find that it’s weird since they received about 3,00 more applications than last year. Is it really that much of an overload for them?? Still to much contradicting info about UCLA decisions release date, at this point all I know for certain is that they should release before May LMAO
Especially since they received so many more freshmen applications and they were able to release them mid March ugh
exactly, I am not certain of how many freshmen applications they received but I heard it was near 100,000?? I am sure UCLA can handle 28,000 transfer applicants by now.
poor us. we out here rotting more than the freshmen who got their decisions in a timely manner
they still have 7 more working days until the deadline)
LITERALLY…this is maybe the most irritating thing I have ever experienced
Its lowkey depressing. We have been waiting for months, and they are rushing to make the deadline. Feels like they really don’t prioritize transfers… Feels sloppy and inconsiderate idk
On the UCSC thread someone had called their admissions and their office said the same thing about reviewing applications still. That was after they had started releasing decisions on March 17th. But UCSC releases on rolling basis while ucla doesn’t. Idk that just seems a little weird and unfair to me. They can’t possibly still be reviewing applications this late in the game when they’re supposed to all be release by the 30th can they?
Does anyone know UCLA’s policy on P/NP in a major pre-rec due to covid for spring semester?
As far as I understand, you CAN take major courses P/NP, but you shouldn’t.
Hey just an FYI, it’s free to commit to cal poly!
