UCLA Fall 2021 Transfers

I don’t think so… that page has been there since at least last week.

Oh I thought it was updated only couple of days ago! lol

The contact page has been there the whole time. BUT, the “no longer being accepted at this time” part is new.

Are there any chances decisions will come out today?

Small. I would just assume they are not coming out today if I were you

no I think the theory about the 28th might be true

The withdraw button has been removed peeps.

Sadly I am thinking the 28th makes the most sense if the rumors of them still going through apps are true.

I swear I’ve been tempted to press that button in my apps for no reason :skull:

Same. I guess it’s my ego trying to protect itself haha

Not trying to hype today up, but I’m not totally convinced decisions aren’t coming today. Why wouldn’t they? I’m def checking my portal is all I’m saying :relieved:

The portal changed today; that’s kinda big news.

I find it incredibly odd though that they’re still going through transfer apps? I understand that there was an increase in the % of applications this year, but it’s difficult to think that they’re still reviewing applications given that they usually release decisions this time of the year

Wait where is this info coming from?
I doubt they’re going through transfer apps still too. Weren’t they reading alumni scholarship apps this weekend?

I called admissions yesterday, and they told me they’re still going through transfer apps. It’s somewhere in this thread.

yeah I did see comments about that, and I trust that it was the correct information. it just strikes me as odd that they’re still going through transfer apps, when the “supposed” date of decisions releasing was originally either today or this Friday

How did the portal change? Dad here and I don’t want to freak out my D19 by asking her to check.

I can understand needing more time after receiving and unanticipated amount of applications but I do think they should update us if they are planning on releasing later than what was previously stated.

Here’s my theory about that. I think the UCs review freshman and transfer applications simultaneously, in that they don’t review freshman applications first and then scramble to get through all the transfer apps within one month. Rather, they review both at the same time. It wouldn’t make sense for them to spend 4 months on freshman apps and then 4 weeks on transfer apps.

Since UCLA received like 28% more freshman apps this year, they probably devoted most of their time these past 4 months to them in order to meet the April 1st deadline. Because of that, they weren’t able to spend quite as much time on the transfers, which may be why they’re behind.

I still have high hopes for today bc in 2017 and 2018 UCLA released decisions 2 days before Berkeley and it’s hard to believe they’re still reviewing this late.
