i didnt submit fafsa. when i click on "View Financial Aid Awards and Summary on URSA" for 2008-2009 I get "You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period."

WOM- yah i see the summary for financial aid!

torrance- cool! I'm checking once a day every night and still no luck.

alansa,I did not get the calll for the scholarship as apparently they only call those who havvr a 3.75 and above.mine is lower than that. Does anybody know more information about this ceed event

It seems that there were people that couldn't see the fin aid info who did get in... that being said, were there any last year who could see the fin aid and did NOT get in?

DealMaster: everyone that saw their FA summary ALL got in.

DealMaster You can see the FA summary only if you have file an application for FAFSA. So, those people who couldn't see the info but did get in were people who did not fileed an application, maybe?

unpoko - I see that people that don't see the summary can still get in, but I was wondering if everyone who can see the summary DID get in. Thanks for the answer though

Thanks for the answer mobile.

Haha, hopefully i'm not getting my hopes up just because I can see the fin aid summary

That's weird, I did the FAFSA in January and I have the "You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period" message. I hope they got my FAFSA..! I'd better call this week and check.

i havent givin up hope on UCLA
i just think since every year i apply for FAFSA i get 0 aid.
this is just UCLA telling me i got 0 aid.
so keep believing ppl

einna: this whole discussion is about a flaw that UCLA may have were those that are admitted can see their financial aid summary before the official announcement. If you don't see your summary it either means that you have to wait a little longer to find out that your in or you were rejected.

or you didn't file FAFSA

mobilemayhem - yes, I know about the "theory", I read through all 18 pages of this thread. I was just hoping upon tiny hopes that UCLA didn't get my FAFSA for some weird reason... not that I'm rejected (though I wouldn't be surprised if I were rejected, since I am applying to the most competitive major). Thanks for your gloomy reply.

:)

einna- I know what you mean. I have no fin aid info showing up on my URSA. :P Sucks, but I'm hoping for the best. I need to get into both of my schools here or the wait will be agonizing for the other one.

best of luck to both of us! :)

I think financial aid summary displayed on ursa is like a 90% good thing.
It doesn't make sense for URSA to upload over 16,000 applicant summaries in URSA if UCLA doesn't need to, I imagine they have loads to do on their plate.

i love that the one year it makes sense to file a FAFSA i couldn't do it because my parents filed differently than i did, and therefore i can't hit the loopholes :P

Woman.Of.Troy - Maybe you and I don't have any Financial Aid info in our URSAs because the Communication Studies faculty admissions committee is still looking at our applications? It would make sense, right? Because our department has their own way of doing admissions?

tiny hopes

lol

i got my financial aid summary but if i get rejected im ganna blame on you guys!!!!

ennia- decisions are days away. They r pretty much done reviewing.

I can't get my hopes up so I'm going to wait until I see this...Hopefully. Sorry sort of off topic and random, but the picture makes me happy. ;-)
