thanks for the heads up RPVMom!

@ dustinthewind sure thing, no worries! LMK if you all can create accounts…he was able to register as an admitted student…no clue if it means anything but since decisions are being released Friday, better to try to get the account all set up so logging in will be easier, I’m sure the web traffic will be insane on Friday!

i was able to create an account. i selected the “New Student” option.

Don’t start checking at 3 PM, I don’t want the site to crash for me anyways ;-)

I was able to create one too! I wonder if this means we’re accepted, cuz it says “accepted students” :0

Everyone you do not check you acceptance through URSA. when decisions are released the current web page that has the decision timeline will change to a log in page. From there you will need you Application ID# and your birthdate I believe. And when you login you are presented with a page that says congratulations or a rejection statement.

No it definitely doesn’t mean anything.

how do you know?

People spend hours obsessing over back door methods for trying to determine if they have been accepted to their desirable UC- the UC system is aware of this. UCLA is not stupid enough to have something that obvious for admissions. I’m sure everyone can make an account. Think about what is most logical.

Did everyone else get a student id number? I checked all my past e-mails and just have the messages showing they got my application and the messages from the alumni scholarship group.

I used my UC ID number

Humm… just tried logging in and it did NOT work. Not good…

Rainout, the fact that someone can create an account means absolutely nothing regarding admissions. I wish it did! Do you have your UC ID number? My son’s is 7 digits. If not, you can email admissions. We emailed them and got ours pretty quickly. Good luck everyone!!

It says on the UCLA website that admissions decisions will be released this Friday 3/23. I doubt they will come right at 5pm Pacific time. For UC Davis last Friday, the email did not come until sometime between 8 and 9pm. But at least it did say “Congratulations”, so you know one way or another without having to log-in to their website.

Fall 2012 freshman Freshman decisions will be available late in the evening on March 23rd.
Fall 2012 transfer Transfer decisions will be available in mid-to-late April, 2012."

See, I checked my portal at midnight for UC Irvine and I had an admissions decision and I received my email three hours later. Don’t wait for the email.

My older daughter got one from UCB when she applied and she was admitted several years ago. My son got one from UCSD in February 2012, completed it, and was accepted on March 17, 2012. If you read the directions that come with them, they explicitly state the information you submit does matter and will be considered as they make a final decision. All this said, my children have gotten accepted at other UCs without a supplement. Obviously, something triggered the supplement for two different people at two different times for two different UCs. The result, however, was an acceptance.
