UCLA gym?

wow! fast response. thanks allie. Okay I'll take your advice

Wooden is busy at 530AM?! Aren't most college students sleeping until at least..7-9AM? I'm guessing my planned afternoon workouts will be a bit crowded.

what do you except from a school whose population borders 35K and which is located in Los Angeles, the mecca of superficiality and those concerned with beauty and body image?

Like I said bfired- it's crowded at 5:30 by OLD(ish) people. Very few actual students.

i didn't even know the gym is opened to non-students...bleh

Yeah. Just about anyone can buy a membership (which is why you'll see lots of rich people from Bel Air and celebrities in Wooden/Sunset Rec).

Will Jessica Simpson be there?

I've been to the gym at lots of different times. Probably the time I think it's least busy, from my experience, is around 9 to 11 or so in the morning. Early in the morning you get a lot of older folks coming in before work, around noon or so you get guys from the hospital coming in for their break or after the night shift, and in the afternoon and at night most of the students come after class. But mid-morning is a good time because most students come are in class or still asleep, and most non students are working. Usually the wait isn't that bad though unless you're really going at peak hours (I'd say mid afternoon after people have class).

I once played basketball against Master P and Lil Romeo at Wooden. No one else famous I've seen in there, though I've ran into Coach Howland and Coach Dorrell in there a couple times.

I remember you telling that story, McGizzle. Didn't you mention Romeo being very good and his dad....well...the total opposite? :D

Who are they? :p

Yep I think I've told that story on this board before. Romeo balled us up, he pretty much was their team. Master P scored like 2 buckets. Romeo is actually real good though, he's apparently one of the better ballers in his HS year (I think junior) and is a D-1 prospect.

Emmeline, Master P is the founder of No Limit records and famous for the hit "Make Em Say Ugghhhhhhhhhhh!". Lil Romeo is his son and also a rapper... I think he had his own TV show for a minute too.

I'd like to say though, my team was the one that eventually beat them :-P ... albeit after those guys won like 5 in a row (we only played them twice, it was a busy day).

Little Romeo plays my highschool in basketball. He's aright.

Lil' Romeo

haha...technicality :p

lil' romeo i heard is a top 10 prospect in his class. that means he must be pretty dam good at shooting hoops.

I can ball Lil' Romeo.

im pretty good at shooting hoops myself..but i dont want to say anything until i see him play. hey nikkei, which nba player do you play like?

Earl Boykins.

me: ginobli/wade :)

Someone the other day told me I play like Mike Bibby... I can see it, though I don't talk like Kermit the Frog or have a traitor as a dad!
