UCLA Housing Offer's out, everyone.

sunset is literally right next to cafes and market.
it was my first choice so I'm not complaining :P

Off campus, non-university owned apartments: Tiverton Court.
Right across UCLA dental school and Westwood Village.
$5850 per academic year with parking included.
:D

Yams: are you on a month to month lease or 1 year? That doesn't sound too bad considering parking is included. I'm at $6006 per academic year. Does your rental premium include paid utilities? Do you get your own room or shared?

I don't think my rent is too bad considering everything is included; water, gas, electricity, garbage, cable, internet. The only bad thing would be the extra 460 for secure parking. So it comes out to close to $6500 per academic year. I like the ability of not having to sublet during the summer.

sunset village
double, shared bath

What's better?! Double or Double Shared bath?!

Double Private = One room with a roommate, and you have a private bathroom that you get to share only with your roommate.

Double Shared = Two rooms, two people in each room, and one large bathroom that four people get to share. Basically it's the same thing as a Suite without the living room space. But you get to have the A/C.

so depends what your preference.

So does Double imply Double Private? If so, I wonder why so many people applied for Double Shared.

Money....meeting more people... or they may have been automatically placed there (like me, except im triple) by the school.

Umm...I don't even know what to think? I wanted a plaza....

Not to hijack the thread, but what's up w/ parking?? Do I have to have a job if I want parking (cuz i need to put one on the app??) The thing is...I want parking so I can get a job, but if I can't park I wont get a job. Seems a lil redundant to me.

Ok after further research, I am friggin' stoked! It looks like glenrock west is about as good as u can do as a transfer student....woohoo!

^ What about Sunset VILLAGE!!!

What have you heard about Landfair Apartments? I can't find any information about it, besides that it's some kind of architectural landmark in LA or something.

so when is the last day to accept this housing offer?

i got into sunset village, double/shared bath

the last day to accept offer is june26

so can u accept the offer without paying, then change ur mind later on. or is there some penalty.

hmm when I talked to one of the Housing Representative during the Live Chat session today, he/she said the deadline for the initial payment was some time in August.

no you have to pay when you accept. you can choose paying monthly/quarterly/full payment

also, for those who have already accepted the offer, do you know who's your roommate after you've accepted?

dhl3 - really? so you can wait till august to accept the offer or what?
