Anyone have insights about UCLA housing? I want the experience and freshmen are OKAY I guess lol

Thank you for starting this thread! I’m also very curious about housing, specifically which building is considered the most social.

What specifically are you asking?

Suggestions for where transfers should live! Halls or apartments, whether some places are gross or good or whatever :D

Transfers don’t get the option where they get to stay, but they get to decide what kind of housing they want…for example, if you want to live in university apartments, they’ll consider that.

Just FYI:

Sproul Hall: Mostly freshmen, but they have all other years.
Rieber: pretty chill. Rieber Hall doesn’t have AC. Vista&Terrace are nice.
DeNeve: pay more but you have a private bathroom.
Sunset: weird…lol. They’re roomy though.

others…LOL.

Apartments are good but a bit nosy, well, it depends where you stay. If you’re on landfair…right next to frat row…get ready for those parties every Friday!

Edit:

Delta Terrace is where most transfers are placed, but that place is WEIRD. I joke to my friends saying they live in the little ghetto place, because honestly when I was walking around Covel, I would pass DT and never notice it. Reminds me of a jail, LOL.

Sorry, still confused. What do you mean we don’t get the option where to stay o_o Omg do you mean it’s apartment or hall and we’ll just be in a random apart or hall??

I’m looked a bit around at CP and the UCLA area of this forum but everything is geared towards freshmen, it seems D:

^
I mean…if for example you visit UCLA and visit around the dorms and want to live in Rieber Terrace, you can’t put you want to live RT in the application. You would only put “suite”.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

im gonna wait til berkeley announces their acceptance before i make the commitment

@rheel3 OHH I see. Okay that makes things easier I guess. I’ll just have to get what I can get >< Omg I totally forgot about your thread. I’ll read through it :D

@jg2290 GOOD LUCK!

anybody know if you can avoid getting a triple if you do an apartment instead?

also, what are the chances of getting a parking spot in the apartments
