I just had my audition/interview for UCLA’s MFA acting program. I felt good overall but have been kicking myself over the interview. I didn’t bomb it, but I was very general- and forgot all my questions I was going to ask them when they asked “Do you have any questions”? Of course I left immediately thinking of all the perfect things I should have said, lol. I’m mad at myself because there are so many reasons my goals align perfectly with the school’s curriculum, and instead of highlighting those- I was just very vague.
Does anyone have an idea of how much weight are put into the interviews? A lot of the things I’m kicking myself about is in my statement of purpose at least.
Anybody have any input?
My daughter is going to audition in for MFA programs in NYC in two weeks–from what she’s heard–the audition itself is more important than other factor. Good luck with the rest of your auditions.
Thank you, Bromfield2. And good luck to your daughter as well!
