Hey everybody! I just got accepted as a transfer into UCLA's Music History program and UC Berkeley's Music program. I am extremely happy, but now have to make a choice. My instrument is jazz/electric guitar. My questions are:

Which school has more opportunities for jazz ensemble performance?

Which school has a better selection of private teachers?

If I double major with English, which school will be more flexible in letting me do so?

Which program is more prestigious?

And I'm sure there are several more I can't think of, but that's it for now. Thanks!

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump

I have to make the same choice! UCB music or UCLA music history! It is very difficult. I think Berkeley will provide more freedom to double major in English. I also think Berkeley provides more freedom with your program. Berkeley is more prestigious. As for performance, UCLA wins in that department.

I am likely going to go with UCLA. It is one of the most difficult decisions I will ever make.

I am going to apply as a Music History major at UCLA this November and I have a few questions but, NO ONE EXISTS BESIDES US! XD Please let me know, I would appreciate it!
