[/ul]Reflection[list]
[] Strengths: good grades and decent test scores
[] Weaknesses: lack of extracurricular and volunteer activities
[*] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I honestly don’t know why I was accepted. UCLA is my dream school (my uncles both graduated here a while back) and I’ve had my sights set here since I was a little kid. but I always felt like UCLA was a reach because I wasn’t good enough. however, upon receiving the actual acceptance letter, I… I don’t know. I guess im kinda scared that this school isn’t going to live up to my lofty expectations…? I don’t feel excited or happy like I thought I would. my friends, who have also desperately wanted to attend UCLA, didn’t get in, which breaks my heart, because I feel like they need it more than I do. (sorry for the rant…)

I cannot believe that I got in!! This has been my dream school since as long as I can remember, and I knew that I wasn’t nearly as qualified as the 100,000 other applicants! After taking the SAT’s three times, my highest score was a mere 1760! My GPA is pretty good; a 4.33, with a UC GPA of 4.5. I knew that UCLA looks for three main qualities in their applicants; leadership, dedication, and innovation, and I tried my best to exemplify them in my application.

If I could get in with a 1760, I encourage others to not give up hope. I am waiting to hear back from UC Berkeley tonight, but regardless if I get in, I think I will be at UCLA next year!

I can’t believe that the college process is over after I find out about Berkeley, but am so excited to embark on this next chapter of my life. Good luck to everyone!! :)

Is anyone going to the Southeast Asian Event on April 11, and is from San Diego?
