@shannpop I’m an English major!!!

@ Philosoup: No way, don’t say that! LOL. So if I get accepted to SD AND LA this weekend how am I supposed to choose? Coin flip? LOL

read threads from previous years, they all indicate it’s a very good sign

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/494905-ucla-financial-aid-summary-5.html

you guys should join us in the myucla thread

is there still some indication even If i didnt sign up for financial aid? link?

@philo
so I’m most likely rejected? Should I be looking to see my financial aid to be complete?
Sorry that I’m asking so many questions, it’s just that I haven’t heard from any school yet.

i made a myucla account but i dont have the UCLA ID number so i cant check anything. How did you guys check for the financial aid stuff?

woohoo for english and history majors!! I want to do the ursa too! do i click New Ucla student?

@bear incomplete means that you need to like verify your FAFSA info with the school later on so the process isn’t complete. in other words, you’re selected for verification

if you wanna check, click on new admitted student

Yeah, how are you guys even checking the URSA site for FAFSA award? It says you have to create an account and there’s a bubble to mark whether or not you are a UCLA student and technically we all haven’t been admitted yet…?

Anyway, best of luck to everybody!!! Two more days, I’m getting more and more anxious as the day draws near! How sure are you guys of the 20th date??? I don’t want to keep my hopes up for nothing only to find that decisions won’t be posted until after the 20th or the week after :(…

I applied as a Biochemistry major. Here are my stats:
3.86 GPA
All pre-reqs completed

My major is super impacted so I’m crossing my fingers!! Aaaahhh can’t wait!! :D

check the one where it says that you are a new ucla student. it overrides the block and let’s you into ursa to check your FAFSA info.

@Philosoup How? I’m on that URSA website… could you give me a general overview on how to get to that certain link? Thank you!!

i did click the new studnet box but i cant access it. bad sign?

@chewbacca, PM me and I can take you through it. virtually no one has that problem, which means it is an issue with the information you put in. it could be any number of things, from not putting in your name EXACTLY as it appears on your application, to putting your UCLA student ID incorrectly.

@steffy so you see the 3 columns academic financial and personal? under financial click on both financial aid award and the one below it called tracking. the 1st link should show you a summary of your aid and tracking should say something about being complete

@Steffy

Weird, I didn’t know that Biochemistry was impacted. It doesn’t say it’s impacted on their major website or on ASSIST, and I was told that it wasn’t by a fellow biochem major at UCLA.

I almost applied under biochem, actually…

@philo
I’m sorry I’m asking so many questions but is this what I’m looking for???

Description Status Date of
Receipt Date of Missing
Information Requested
FAFSA RECD FROM CENTRAL PROC Completed 2012-04-18

@chewbacca: Are you copying and pasting your student ID in there? You need to type it out without the dashes. I actually checked the “applicant on wait list” option.

can you take a screenshot? bear
