Hi!

As June 1st approaches, I am getting increasingly nervous about my decision of where to go to college. I am a history major, and I have already taken two history classes at Cal, so I am familiar with some professors there already. I do not know much about the history program at UCLA (actually I don't know anything really), and I am seeking more information. I would prefer a program that had good research opportunities for undergrads that are entry level.

I am also a political economy major (if I go to Berkeley), it would be global studies if I went to UCLA... and I'd like to know pros and cons between the two programs if anyone knows

And I would also like a general pro vs. con breakdown of the two schools in terms of :

social life, food, general atmosphere, weather, if the quarter system is really that bad, and

ESPECIALLY living situation for transfer students... I would like to know what is the best route as a transfer student living at either campus (I am thinking about living in International House if I go to Berkeley)

Anyway, any advice is welcome! this is proving to be a very difficult decision
