I've been accepted to both and although UCLA has always kinda been my dream school, I never actually thought of Cal as a plausible option until I somehow got in. I haven't visited Cal yet, but I'm going to, and I visited UCLA and loved it. I live an hour south of UCLA, and about 7 hours from Cal. I'm not positive if I want to be closer or farther though, to be honest. I'm currently planning on majoring in communications, but I'm not completely positive. Since UCLA's comm program is only open to sophomores, I'm undeclared right now which is kind of nice. Something makes me feel like UCLA is a better fit for me, but I really don't have experience with Berkeley so I know that's probably why. I'm conflicted and I don't want to turn down the wrong school! Help??

Just visit Berkeley. I would try to attend during Cal Day. Your decision will become much clearer after you visit. The campus environments are quite different. One big difference is academic schedule. UCLA is on quarters and Berkeley is on semesters.

bump bump bump

There’s nothing to say that UCBChemE hasn’t said. Visit. Then come back for help.
