UCLA Orientation Registration

Does picking a later orientation date, say August 14 as opposed to July 13 mean that I pick classes later and will therefore have fewer class options due to every class being full?

They say no because they do it in phases and hold back key major courses specifically for transfers coming in.

Yes it does limit your class offerings. There are some, maybe many, classes that set aside X number for each orientation, so with those, there’s no difference in orientation dates. BUT, there are some classes that aren’t set aside for orientation. So for those courses they’re open to everyone until they fill up. Usually the “must have” courses are set aside, but the elective type courses are a free for all.

Hey danny, you’re not able to register for orientation though, right? Mine says it doesn’t open until 3pm today.

Thanks guyz

@fullload no, not yet. The reg date/time is today @ 3pm, I just want to be prepared
