Discuss the presence of the major on your portal here.
wait mine just says “application status: application received.” The major selection is gone tho.
mine is as well
Mine is gone as well. Don’t think it means anything, though. Unless others have it. They’re probably getting the portal ready/cleaning it up-- which means Friday decisions still seem very plausible!!!
the major selection is probably normal, but some people have “application status record not found” so I am confused. I never got that.
I hope “application status record not found” isn’t an indication of getting in since I don’t have it
My portal looks normal
Friend is reporting that he can see his major… uh oh
No shot
Update: apparently my friend was mistaken. He cannot see his major in his portal.
Where can the major be found?
Major gone. Anyone know if this type of thing happened last year or years prior?
@gauchoengineering @Abhay_cr7 @Bread_Guy and all others: As UCLA prepares to release the 150,000 or so decisions, the portal can be glitchy so do not worry or read anything into the changes you see. It happens every year.
Ours just says “application received” also. I’m pretty sure its been like that the whole time. I don’t remember seeing a major listed. On other UC schools, we’ve seen the major listed, but not on this one. Should I be freaking out if it was never there?
grndszn101 long time no see…how is your S22?
No, do not freak out. Liked I stated above, the portal can be glitchy, repeat do not read anything into the changes.
I’m just curious why some people would have a major listed on their portal and we’ve never had that on ours.
Same in our case. Never said major on the portal
Our Portal just has two tabs on left. One of them is Status , and it just has a letter that has they received our application and blah blah. No personal info.
As someone who logged into the portal long ago to verify application confirmation, I clearly remember seeing Major right underneath the Application Status message.
Now, I don’t see the major info there. As @Gumbymom says, don’t think any of this means anything at an individual level, other than a sign that UCLA is beginning to make updates to the portal in preparation for an eventual decision release.
