I am planning on SIRing to UCLA very soon and was curious about their Computing Specialization in the Psychology Department. Although I was hoping for a Computer Science minor, Computing appears to focus on computer science and its applications in psychology.
If anyone has any insight to the quality of this program(or is currently in it) and its implications I would be eternally grateful.
Also, what is the practical use of a specialization outside of college? Is it viewed favorably by employers or give an advantage in applying to grad school(I’m planning on studying Human Centered Design & Engineering/Engineering Psychology)?
Thank you so much!
