UCLA Students

Those of you who know me, know I love to post helpful links :)

So with the Fall 2010 schedule out today (Schedule of Classes Home Page) We are all beginning to look at the schedule and pick our classes. At CC I used ratemyprofessor to pick all my classes, as im sure a lot of you did too.

First here is the Ratemyprofessor for UCLA: University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) - California

Second, this is a website similar to ratemyprofessor especially for UCLA, that even has grade distribution and what the average grade in the class was. Hope this helps you fellow Bruins.

BruinWalk | Professors

I’m liking the idea of BruinWalk. It’ll definitely come in handy. Thanks!

Eshug1, dood…you never let me down. Thanks, again! :)

:) aww how awesome of you. another A+ thread.

Most of the professors I look into aren’t even on RateMyProfessors. Crossing my fingers for BruinWalk. Thanks Eshug!

Edit: All the professors (that aren’t on RMP) are on this site! Sweeeet

no problem  I post helpful links so when i make the basketball team in fall you guys will cheer me on haha

hey some of them have pictures…anyone planning on taking a certain professor due to their level of attractiveness? lol kidding.

do you guys know what the deal is with what classes were allowed to take that isnt for our major?? Is it a free for all, but people in the major get priority?

some classes are strictly for people in the major. others give priority, and others are “free for all”.

cuz I saw an interesting class in the film and television dept. but I dont want to plan on taking it if I might not even be allowed lol

well the film&television school/department is extremely competitive so you may have some trouble there. also, you could always talk to the professor.

The courses that say “for juniors/seniors” are those for people in that major, I believe. They also specify which courses are impacted so I guess that helps. Usually you can sign up for most classes since underclassmen are experimenting, too.

the professor average rating is 2.91 for UCLA on ratemyprof? that’s kind of scary

I just found a professor whose last name is “Guber”. I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that is funny.

When you enroll you get a first pass where you get to enroll up to 10 units.

Then you wait about a week and you can enroll up to the maximum.

As transfers we are pretty much screwed. Take a look, [UCLA Schedule of Classes: Enrollment Appointments](http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/soc/enrollappt.htm) .

If you are session 203 or above, you get to enroll after all current seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.

If you got 202 you only get a small edge on second pass sophomores and freshmen.

If you were lucky to get 201 you get to sign up after all 26,928 students got 10 units worth of their first picks.

made me think of spongebob im a goofy goober lol

@rpicton atleast most freshman sophomore arent going 2 be taking upper div courses

ciao- or not? lol

rpicton- i heard that at orientation they will be opening up more slots for each class so we will all have an equal chance at getting the classes we need… (whatever that means…) for example: if you notice on the schedule of classes some classes only allow about 50 students to enroll… as orientations progress you will see that same class enrollment increase… like to 300 students (in some classes…)

For my major (math/econ) they might. At least sophomores. They enter with Calc AP - BC and can already be taking 115A or 131A when I’m signing up.

what orientation did you guys gett…im upset i got stuck with 205
