Ucla tap

I was just wondering if anyone knows how much of a difference being TAP certified makes? I'm certified, and have applied to the Geography major with a 3.69 GPA. Looking at the admit profile by major for 2011, the Geography program had a 63% acceptance rate with an average admitted GPA of 3.58, so I'm hoping that my chances are pretty good.

I only ask because I did have to drop a 1 unit PE class this semester with a W because of a knee injury (and I have updated my TAU with an explanation), so I'm hoping that hasn't killed my chances. Mostly I just want to know if TAP is as helpful as it is purported to be. Thanks for your input!

Is geography a major under the college of letters and science? if not, being tapped really doesnt matter

either way, i think you have a goood chance :)

Yeah, it definitely is  Some universities have B.S. Geography programs that are with Physical Science dept, but UCLA’s is a B.A. program.
